Non-US citizens are not required to have an F-1 visa to enroll in the online degree if they reside outside of the United States. F-1 visas are not granted to non-U. Although a visa is neither required nor possible, there is certain documentation that may be required of all UW degree students e.

Please do not begin this process until you have received a decision from us, as the Continuum College application fees are nonrefundable.

Up to 12 credits taken in the certificate program with GNM status can apply toward the MS credit requirements. If you do not plan on applying for the graduate degree, you can skip this step. You must apply for the certificate program separately—a GNM application by itself is not sufficient for certificate admission—and your GNM status must be approved prior to the start of classes in order to allow credit.
