Norton internet security identity safe not working


















Sorry it took me so long to get back here, I couldn't find my question. This is a confusing site. Thanksf ro the feedback. Yes, only a local vault is available from Comcast and you are on the latest version. Not working is a pretty broad term - can you be more specific? Can you log into your Local Vault, are the log-ins available? Is the Norton Toolbar present?

Have you rebooted since you updated to Have you run LiveUpdate rebooting when requested until such time as it reposnds "no updates found"?

The more you can tell us about the "no working" the better we can assist you. FYI, Once you log into the Norton Forums you will see your user name at the top of the page close to right hand edge - just click on it - that will take you to a page which about hald way down the page will show yur recent posts.

By clicking on them will take you to the post you made concerning that topic and it shold be easier this way to find your past posts. I do recall a change I made right before it stopped working.

I went to the Password Security page and saw that I could click. So I clicked on that, but it never did work that way so I tried to go back to the old way of "ask for password at beginning of each login session. That is what I mean by "not working". I have done all the live updates, etc. I'm not sure what you mean by the Norton Toolbar. I have 4 yellow blocks, Security, Identity, Backup and Tuneup.

If that is the toolbar then I have it. Are some web surfers not compatible with IS12? It depends on the browser that you use. Norton Identity Safe does not support any bit browsers, so if you have that then the Norton Toolbar will be disabled. Some web sites do not work properly with Identity Safe. This is where you can send the URL of the web site to Norton to have them investigate why Identity Safe is not working.

I resisted using this feature for some time because I thought if something stopped working I might lose all of my passwords. To be honest, the convenience of having used Identity Safe for a few months has already been offset by the time I have spent today trying to figure out what's wrong, so unless there's a simple answer I'm not going to waste much more time on it - I'll stick with the convenience of a sheet of paper, my fears having come true! Please try the following provided by Symantec employee Thalir to reset the Identity Safe database and reload your saved data.

If prompt is not working for specific sites, you can also add the login manually from 'Manage Logins'. Firefox add ons are also OK. I hadn't checked via Internet Explorer.
